Lianne Secures World 4th Place

Last month Lianne Frost, our Chair, had the honour of being part of the England team participating in the Second Ladies World Fly Fishing Championships in Canada, alongside fellow GWFFA member, Gwyneth Mooney.  Chris Bobby also competed as part of the England team in the World Masters tournament.  The ladies came a creditable fifth out of ten teams and the Masters sixth out of fourteen.  She was thrilled to come fourth individually, a brilliant result and a result of all the hard work she put into her fishing in the run up to the World Championship.

Over two weeks the ladies fished seven lakes and two rivers in British Columbia, using very different tactics to the way they usually fish in the UK.

Chris and Lianne will be doing a presentation on their experiences on 12 December as part of the club’s winter programme, and hope to see many of you there.
